Richard is an inspired consultant, trainer and coach and has specialized in the guiding and realisation of sales – and culture change projects, of developing vision, leadership and competences to changing attitudes and behaviour. With his pragmatic and confrontational approach he likes to motivate people to get out of their comfort zone and to create added value for themselves and others. Richard has 17 years of national and international experience in the area of Human Capital Development.
Richard started his career as a consultant, trainer and coach in 1995 at a reputable international training company. In 2001 he founded his own network organization 'Emotivate' and has since then accompanied many organizations in the profit and non-profit industry. Particularly in the area of sales effectiveness and culture change he did a lot of research and development and achieved demonstrable results.
His first job in 1989 as a salesmen in the credit management industry, he developed his business skills in a natural way close to his core values honesty, result driven and working within a team. His next step in that same industry, he was responsible as marketing- and sales manager to lead several sales teams and to manage an international sailing project ‘ The Whitbread Round the World Race’.
With his ‘hands on’ mentality and international experience he was prepared to make his next move to an international training company, where 6 years later, in 2001, started his own network company ‘Emotivate’. As an entrepreneur he has evolved himself in sales effectiveness, management and leadership development, consulting and coaching programs. In 2011 he started a partnership with the globally operating organisations People & Performance from the Swiss head office in Geneva.
